Dr. Austin Smith-Hernandez chose dentistry as a career because it’s the perfect blend of both medicine and engineering in an art form. He completed his Bachelor of Science in biology at Ball State University (where he was on the tennis team) and earned his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry.

Dr. Smith-Hernandez has been with our practice since 2021. He is active in the Northern Kentucky Dental Society and enjoys taking surgical hands-on continuing education courses.

Dr. Smith-Hernandez values honesty and takes pride in providing his patients with the information they need to make the best decisions about their dental care. He enjoys watching the transformation of a new patient who has dental anxiety or poor hygiene into one with a confident smile and a healthy mouth.

In his free time, Dr. Smith-Hernandez enjoys DIY home projects, taking trips to the lake, playing golf, and spending time with his family and their two dogs.
