Dr. McMahon on the Edgewood Dental Care team
Laurie has been working with Dr. McMahon since 1999 and has three decades of experience in dentistry. To help provide you with the best dental treatments possible, she has received additional training and education in X-rays, IV sedation, CEREC, coronal polishing, and implants. She loves making patients smile and will do whatever she can to make you comfortable and stress-free. When she’s not helping patients in the office, you’ll probably find her outdoors boating or hiking. She also love animals!
Ashley started working as a dental assistant at Edgewood Dental Care in April of 2009 and has received certificates in Coronal Polishing and CPR. It’s rewarding for her to meet new people here and make them feel comfortable. In her spare time, she plays guitar, bass, and drums.
Hannah loves meeting new patients and working with patients to help them achieve better smiles. She began with Edgewood Dental Care in 2014. Hannah completed certifications and continuing education courses at the University of Louisville and the University of Kentucky. She assists our doctors in providing elite, comfortable dental care to every patient who enters our office. She takes prides in helping patients relax while they are in the dental chair.
Hannah enjoys spending time with her family and friends, playing with her dog, and spending time outside and on the lake.
Jessica started working at Edgewood Dental Care in 2015 and loves teaching our patients about best oral health practices. She attended the Institute of Dental Technology and is certified in coronal polishing and rendering safe digital X-rays. Jessica helps make sure patients – especially children – are comfortable in the office, and she assists our doctors with various dental treatments.
When she’s not at the office, Jessica is spending time with her two girls, coaching youth soccer, and cheering on the Cincinnati Reds.
Leslie has been at Edgewood Dental Care since 2010. To help improve patient comfort, she has been certified by the University of Kentucky for Venipuncture for Dental Sedation, Coronal Polishing, Advance Airway Management and Emergency Response, and X-rays. She has a degree in business management that has been useful for her duties here. What she likes most about dentistry is helping people, making them smile, and helping them overcome their fear of dentistry. She stays busy away from the office with three dogs, two children, and her husband. She loves being with family and friends, four-wheeling, boating, and being outside.
Lydia has been an expanded duties dental assistant at Edgewood Dental Care since 2011. To make your experience pleasant and safe, she has certifications in coronal polishing, expanded duties, IV Sedation – Airway Management, radiography, venipuncture, and CPR. Her favorite thing about dentistry is that it is exciting and challenging. She enjoys working with our patients and helping them feel comfortable in the patient chair. She is a native of Northern Kentucky and enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.
Since 2006, Rhonda has been at Edgewood Dental Care and has received special training in EDDA, polishing, CPR, and IV placement. She loves being able to make a person comfortable enough to smile and to be happy with the appearance of their smile as well as have a pleasant experience in the patient chair.
Sara began working at Edgewood Dental Care in early 2016. She attended Ross Medical Education Center, where she earned her certification as an expanded duties dental assistant. Sara also spent time shadowing her dentist each Friday to gain additional experience. She is certified in CPR, X-ray, and coronal polishing. Her favorite part of her job is learning something new each and every day, even when things are challenging.
When she is away from the office, Sara enjoys bowling on Saturday nights and visiting her grandparents’ farm.
Since 1995, Sharon has worked with Dr. McMahon as a dental hygienist. She has advanced training in block and infiltration anesthesia, inhaled sedation, laser debridement, and general supervision. She enjoys helping people smile again and feel comfortable during their treatment. When she’s not helping patients, you’ll probably find her outdoors.
Ashley joined the Edgewood Dental Care team in 2014 and has training in laser dentistry, local anesthesia, and even inhaled sedation. She has been a dental hygienist since 2008, graduating from Sinclair Community College. Ashley takes pride in offering professional care and guidance for patients looking to improve their oral care. Whether it’s removing a little coffee staining or helping patients overcome major dental issues, Ashley is dedicated to her craft. When she’s not in the office, Ashley is spending time with her family, cooking, being outdoors, and doing physical fitness. She is married with two wonderful boys.
Carissa became a hygienist in 1999 and has been at Edgewood Dental Care for over 17 years. To exceed expectations, she has received certifications and training in block and infiltration anesthesia, inhaled sedation, laser debridement, and general supervision. She loves to see people exude so much more happiness and confidence in themselves after she finishes treatment on their teeth. She treats all patients with the care and comfort she likes to receive when she’s the patient herself. When she’s not caring for patients, she and her husband, Eric, and their two kids enjoy activities like going to sporting events. She also enjoys reading and laughing – it’s very important in life!
Crissy graduated from dental hygiene school in 2009 and has been practicing full time ever since. She began working at Edgewood Dental Care in 2016. She enjoys working with her patients and strives to help them achieve healthy teeth and gums by focusing on patient education. While not practicing dental hygiene, Crissy enjoys following college football and volleyball. She also likes boating and spending time with family and friends.
Kandy has been at Edgewood Dental since 2004, and has a total of 36 years of experience in dentistry. She has been awarded a certificate in laser debridement by the Kentucky Board of Dentistry. One of the most rewarding parts of her job is helping you achieve good oral health by eliminating any barriers that hamper you from reaching your goal. Away from the office, she enjoys spending time with her daughter and spoiling her two grandchildren. She also enjoys bicycling and spending time with her husband, especially taking drives in their convertible.
Kim has been an RDH at Edgewood Dental Care since 2012. She has her AAS and attends 30+ hours of continuing education every two years. She enjoys educating patients on ways to improve and maintain good oral health. She strives to make you as comfortable as possible during your appointment and for you to leave with a positive experience. She also loves interacting with her patients and building long-lasting relationships. When she’s not doing dentistry, she enjoys being outdoors, traveling, soaking up warm weather, and spending time with family and friends.
Olivia has been working at Dr. McMahon’s practice since 2014. She received her AAS from the University of Cincinnati and is certified in local anesthesia. Olivia always enjoyed going to the dentist as a child, which led her down the career path as a dental hygienist (RDH). She loves how rewarding it is to see results in her patients, not only as their oral health improves but their overall health as well! She spends her free time being around family and friends, going to concerts, and rooting at Reds games in the summer.
Mary Beth has been an office manager at Edgewood Dental Care since 2005. She enjoys dentistry because it’s fun and an always-changing environment. One of her favorite aspects of dentistry is interacting with her patients and becoming familiar with them, making the office a welcoming place. When she’s not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, being outdoors, and horseback riding.
Charisse has been with Edgewood Dental Care since 2009. She has been dental hygienist for more than 20 years, but here in the office, you’ll also find her scheduling treatments, handling promotions and marketing, and leading the front desk team. She is able to help give you comfortable care with her training in block and infiltration anesthesia, inhaled sedation, and laser debridement. She also enjoys helping patients feel comfortable during their treatments and helping them coordinate all of their treatments. Her hobbies outside of dentistry include performing arts, teaching dance, participating in outdoors activities, and spending time with her family.
For more than 34 years, Debbie has been in the dentistry field and has been working at Edgewood Dental Care since 2008. Her degrees and certifications include CDA, ACIS, CPR, and Coronal Polishing. What she likes most about dentistry is seeing the satisfaction of before and after smiles and the confidence that the dental professionals at Edgewood Dental Care have given all of the patients. When she’s not helping patients, she might be found camping, boating, bicycling, gardening, walking, dancing, and spending time with family and friends.
Karen has been part of our front office staff since 2012. She has been in the field of dentistry for more than 25 years. She enjoys getting to know the patients and seeing their familiar faces each day. When away from the office, Karen enjoys spending time with her two daughters, reading, cooking, music, sporting events, and being with her family and friends.
