With three decades of dental experience, Laurie loves making patients smile. She will go above and beyond to give you a stress-free, comfortable experience. Since 1999, she’s been working with Dr. McMahon to provide the best dental treatments possible for our patients. Laure’s additional training and education in X-rays, IV sedation, CEREC, coronal polishing, and implants make her a valuable asset to our team! When she’s not helping patients in the office, you’ll probably find this animal lover enjoying the outdoors boating or hiking.
Ashley began her career as a dental assistant in 2009 right here at Edgewood Dental Care! She is certified in Coronal Polishing and CPR. She finds meeting new people and making them feel comfortable the most rewarding aspects of her job, and we’re a better practice because of it! Ashley loves music and enjoys playing the guitar, bass, and drums in her spare time.
Jessica started working at Edgewood Dental Care in 2015 and loves teaching our patients about best oral health practices. She attended the Institute of Dental Technology and is certified in coronal polishing and rendering safe digital X-rays. Jessica has a passion for helping patients – especially children – feel more comfortable in our office. When she’s not assisting our doctors with various dental treatments, Jessica is spending time with her two girls, coaching youth soccer, and cheering on her beloved Cincinnati Reds!
A member of our team since 2010, Leslie has been using her gifts to improve patient comfort. She enjoys making patients smile and helping fearful patients build confidence to overcome their dental anxiety. Leslie has been certified by the University of Kentucky for venipuncture for dental sedation, coronal polishing, advanced airway management and emergency response, and X-rays. She’s also made great use of her degree in business management here at Edgewood Dental Care! While away from the office, Leslie stays busy caring for her three dogs, two children, and husband. She enjoys four-wheeling and boating in the great outdoors and loves spending time with family and friends.
Lydia is an expanded duties dental assistant who embraces the excitement and unique challenges of a career in dentistry. She’s been a valuable team member at Edgewood Dental Care since 2011. To make your experience pleasant and safe, Lydia relies on her training and certifications in coronal polishing, expanded duties, IV sedation – airway management, radiography, venipuncture, and CPR. A native of Northern Kentucky, Lydia loves spending time with her husband and two children when she’s not here making our patients feel relaxed and comfortable in the dental chair!
Since 2006, Rhonda has been using her special training as an expanded duties dental assistant to serve our Edgewood, KY patients with personalized, quality dental care. She in certified in polishing, CPR, and IV placement. Rhonda’s favorite part about being one of our skilled dental assistants is the opportunity to help patients feel comfortable and happy about the appearance of their smiles and enjoy pleasant experiences in our dentist office.
Sara has been with Edgewood Dental Care since early 2016. She became certified as an expanded duties dental assistant at Ross Medical Education Center and has additional certifications in CPR, X-ray, and coronal polishing. Sara gained more training and experience by shadowing her dentist each week. Never one to shy away from a challenge, Sara loves the chance to learn something new each day as a dental assistant. She enjoys Saturday night bowling and spending time on her grandparents’ farm.
Since 1995, Sharon has worked with Dr. McMahon as a dental hygienist. She brings her advanced training in block and infiltration anesthesia, inhaled sedation, laser debridement, and general supervision to our practice. She enjoys making patients feel comfortable during their treatment and helping them smile again. During her time away from the office, you’ll find Sharon enjoying the outdoors.
Ashley has been a dental hygienist since graduating from Sinclair Community College in 2008. In 2014, she brought her training in laser dentistry, local anesthesia, and even inhaled sedation to Edgewood Dental Care. Ashley takes pride in offering professional care and guidance for patients looking to improve their oral health. Whether it’s removing a little coffee staining or helping patients overcome major dental issues, Ashley is dedicated to her craft. When away from the office, Ashley enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, being outdoors, and staying fit. She’s also married with two wonderful boys.
Carissa became a hygienist in 1999 and has been helping patients at Edgewood Dental Care since then. To exceed expectations, she received certifications and additional training in block and infiltration anesthesia, inhaled sedation, laser debridement, and general supervision. Carissa loves to see people exude so much more happiness and confidence in themselves after she finishes treatment on their teeth. She treats all patients with the same level of care and comfort she looks for as a patient herself. When she’s not caring for patients, she and her husband, Eric, and their two kids enjoy activities like going to sporting events. Carissa also enjoys reading and laughing – it’s very important in life!
Crissy graduated from dental hygiene school in 2009 and has been practicing full time ever since. She joined Edgewood Dental Care in 2016 and has enjoyed focusing on patient education to help people achieve healthier teeth and gums. While not practicing dental hygiene, Crissy enjoys following college football and volleyball, as well as boating and spending time with family and friends.
Kandy’s nearly four decades of experience in dentistry has been so valuable to our Edgewood, KY practice since she joined us in 2004. She has been awarded a certificate in laser debridement by the Kentucky Board of Dentistry and loves using her skills to help patients achieve better oral health. What Kandy finds most rewarding is giving patients the tools to eliminate any barriers that might stand in the way of their smile goals. Away from the office, she enjoys spending time with her daughter and spoiling her two grandchildren. Kandy also loves bicycling and spending time with her husband, especially taking drives in their convertible!
Kim has been an RDH at Edgewood Dental Care since 2012, has her AAS, and attends 30+ hours of continuing education every two years. But all her efforts are well worth it because Kim enjoys educating patients on ways to improve and maintain good oral health. She loves interacting and building long-lasting relationships with her Edgewood, KY patients. She’s always striving to make you as comfortable as possible during your appointment and for you to leave with a positive experience. When Kim’s not hard at work in our office, she’s enjoying the outdoors, soaking up warm weather, and spending time with family and friends.
Olivia received her AAS from the University of Cincinnati and is also certified in local anesthesia. Working at Dr. McMahon’s practice since 2014 as a registered dental hygienist, Olivia credits her career path to the enjoyment she felt when going to the dentist as a child. She loves how rewarding it is to see results in her patients, not only as their oral health improves but their overall health as well! Olivia spends her free time surrounded by family and friends, going to concerts, and rooting at Reds games in the summer.
Mary Beth has been an office manager at Edgewood Dental Care since 2005. She enjoys the fun, constantly changing environment of dentistry. Mary Beth’s favorite part of the job is interacting with patients, building relationships with them, and making our office a welcoming place for them to visit. When she’s not managing the office, Mary Beth loves spending time with her family, reading, horseback riding, and enjoying time outdoors.
Charisse has been a dental hygienist for more than 20 years and a valued team member at Edgewood Dental Care since 2009. Here, you’ll find her hard at work scheduling treatments, handling promotions and marketing, and leading the front desk team. With her training in block and infiltration anesthesia, inhaled sedation, and laser debridement, Charisse is able to not only coordinate your dental treatments but also make you feel relaxed and comfortable during them! Her hobbies outside of dentistry include performing arts, teaching dance, participating in outdoor activities, and spending time with her family.
Debbie has been in the dentistry field for more than 35 years and has been working at Edgewood Dental Care since 2008. Her degrees and certifications include CDA, ACIS, CPR, and coronal polishing. Seeing the satisfaction and confidence in our patients’ before and after smiles at the hands our talented dentists is Debbie’s favorite part of the job. When she’s not helping patients, you might find Debbie camping, boating, bicycling, gardening, walking, dancing, and spending time with family and friends.
Karen has been part of our front office staff since 2012 and has more than 25 years of experience in dentistry. What Karen enjoys most is getting to know our patients and seeing their familiar faces each day. When away from the office, Karen loves spending time with her two daughters, reading, cooking, music, sporting events, and being with her family and friends.
