3D Images Help Us Rebuild Your Smile

What makes a dental office stand out? Is it the people, the treatments, or is it the dental technology. It’s actually a combination of all three. We have just that at Edgewood Dental Care in Edgewood Ky.

Our family dental office has been a fixture in the community for decades, and we have build a state-of-the-art facility with the latest technology. Technology that allows us to restore heavily damaged teeth in one day. Technology that allows us to see 3D images in your mouth and oral cavity.

Today we want to focus on 3D images. We can achieve 3D images with our Cone Beam CT. The CBCT machine is located in a special area of our practice. You’ll stand in a designated location while the CBCT circles around your head, taking hundreds of images. The images are then compiled to create crisp, 3D images of your oral cavity.

CBCT is so important to us because, simply, we can see more of your mouth. This technology aids us in nearly every aspect of our practice, whether we are restore or replacing a tooth. CBCT is especially helpful when it comes to replacing teeth with dental implants. Using 3D images, we can see jawbone density and even tiny blood vessels. This is important because all of these factors helps us find the most appropriate location for the implant.

It’s important to note that the CBCT is what makes us a one-stop-shop dental office. Most dental offices do not have such a machine, and you’d have to schedule an appointment with a specialist or visit a hospital. Not here. We have everything you need right here to rebuild your smile.
