Welcome back to another blog from your friends at Edgewood Dental Care! Today, we would like to talk to you about dental insurance, how to get the most out of your plan, and what you can do if you do not have insurance. Paying for your dental care is obviously an important part of process, and we are here to help you. Get the most out of your dental coverage or take advantage of some of our in-house payment options! Please feel free to give us a call at any time if you have any questions or concerns about financing your dental care.
Your Benefits Might Disappear — Use Them Now!
Dental insurance can be confusing. Did you know that some of your benefits may simply disappear if you do not use them by the end of the year? Insurance often works on a yearly cycle, and there are not any “roll over” benefits, so if you don’t use some of your benefits, they will not be available come January 1st. For example, many insurance plans cover two dental cleanings per year. If you only use one of them, you will NOT be able to use three next year. That means you AREN’T taking full advantage of your coverage.
We recommend understanding your benefits and using them before they run out! Now is the time to do that. You can call your insurance company or even check online to learn more about your benefits. Our office would also be happy to help you understand how insurance works. We accept most insurance plans and will even do a complimentary insurance check at your first visit.
What If I Don’t Have Insurance Coverage?
We also understand that not everyone has dental insurance. That’s why we offer a variety of other payment options to making financing your dental care as easy as possible. If you don’t have dental insurance, we have you covered! Check out our options below and give us a call if you have any questions.
Dental Savings Plan — When you take advantage of this option, it is like being a part of a special savings club here at Edgewood Dental Care! You pay an annual fee and all of your preventive care services will be covered! This plan also provides you with a 15% discount on corrective and cosmetic services. Many patients without insurance LOVE this option!
Third Party Financing — We also work with third party lenders CareCredit and Lending Club Patient Solutions to offer great financing options for you. You can learn more about these options today by checking out our financing page.
In-Office Specials and Promotions — We also offer certain specials and promotions throughout the year to help our patients get more for their money! Check out our specials page to learn about the awesome deals we have going on right now!
Cash, Personal Check, Debit and Credit Cards — AND to make things as simple as possible for you, we also accept cash, personal checks, and Visa, Mastercard, and Discover cards. This is the most straightforward way of paying for your dental care. Please talk to our team if you have any questions!
Regular Dental Checkup Visits
Regardless of your financial situation, we HIGHLY recommend schedule a routine dental cleaning and exam once every six months (that’s twice per year!). These regular checkups will help you maintain a healthy smile and avoid the consequences of any problems that may occur. Dental cleanings and exams are the cornerstone of great oral health. Contact our team to schedule your visit today.
